Had this on the way home to Hadfield once and the signalling tried to route us into Ardwick and the other 323 that left after us was routed how we should have been and came to a stop along side us as both us and the ECS questioned routing.

Was due to combination of wheelslip and power when the M5000s came in.

I believe the rights to the GNER branding are now actually in the hands of an individual who bought them from Arriva.

At Bradford Interchange there is the facility to do manual ones but I think places like Halifax/New Pudsey/Hebden Bridge etc the equipment was taken out the booking offices ages ago.

Long Line announcers (based at York now instead of Leeds AFAIK) would normally make manual announcements unless they had relevant pre recorded ones available. But Yeah, The s&c on the Calder Valley line isn't as high tech as it really should be although this should change when the Northern Hub...
