Where is the L in London Northwestern Logo?

Inevitable comment that the North Western Railway has its terminus on Sodor.

    Class 378 refresh

It looks too unbalanced with that orange 'smile', I think. Perhaps less black, with there just being a band of it over the windows would help. Looks a fairly rushed livery to me, as if they only found out after applying the orange front that they needed the yellow panel.

    Class 317/7

I don't think there's much point in converting any more than a few 317/7s to 2020 spec; they're due to be withdrawn on London Overground and with the 320/321 'Renatus' programme, potential operators would probably go for them instead. Which is a shame as I really do like the /7 subclass.

TT-ONR-NRN critiques... (note: contains large images)

Wow, I think you had the very unlucky displeasure of travelling on one of the only 317s which haven't been refurbished by GA and still carry the original 'Stansted Express' interior from years ago - before the 379s were built! The 317s aren't long for this world though.

Trivia: Stations which have been renamed?

Burnt Mill became Harlow Town in 1960 after it was heavily rebuilt for the Harlow New Town project. The original Harlow station just a few miles up the line was then renamed Harlow Mill.

Creation of class 230 DEMUs from ex-LU D78s by Vivarail

Even if the US railroads do like the 230s, wouldn't Mr Trump's trade tariffs could make things difficult?

London Underground Zone 1 no ticket needed

Not for long though, I believe that exit is going to be rebuilt as part of the Crossrail/Sub-Surface Lines interchange at Moorgate station, and therefore the lack of ticket barriers is only temporary

    GWR Class 800

Yes here's a clip on the BBC news page about it - it also shows shots of the new First Class interior, with GWR green headrests. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-wales-43318347/new-train-named-after-gareth-edwards-and-john-charles
