Dogs allowed on West Midlands Metro for 3-month trial period

Excellent news, I took pudsey my beagle collie X for a ride on the west mids trams last year when the trial took place. As you can see he sat on the floor by me quiet as anything, didn't upset or annoy a single person. If there are any metro drivers on here if you ever see us around...

    D&G Buses

Another of the ex cardiff MMCs 572 is back in service again. According to a member of depot staff at crewe I know 570/571/572 are all to be operated by macc. Although 572 has already been nicked by wincham but no doubt it'll find it's way back again.

    Old Circle line tube carriages

With regards a fairly modern ish station for filming ask TFL about charing cross. There's a whole other section of the tube station down there that they use for testing out new bits for stations etc.

With regards 306017 it was rumoured the NRM had plans to re certify it for mainline use & use it on a branch somewhere.

Nope it's been taken over now. Pretty certain that it's now used by a door & window firm.

    Ticket Barrier Blues

Manchester Piccadilly - The barriers there seem fine with railcard discounted tickets as I've got a disabled one. However, they don't seem to like through ticketing, tickets with barcodes you have to hold them actually on the glass rather than a bit above otherwise the scanners can't read them.

Around my local area, (macclesfield in cheshire, but also north west & manchester) I've seen: UA - Ukraine GR - Greece Also get a ton of trucks over here fairly regularly from holland delivering fresh flowers to the various florists. As usual get a ton of trucks from abroad, mainly from...

It is positive news aye, the only other vehicles that have owt similar are the DF streetlites. They have the displays showing the destination & route number. Attached is a photo, apologies for quality not being brilliant but it's took off my phone. Shows the display at the front.

    D&G Buses

Trying to get things a bit not so debatable, (makes for heavy reading haha) The MMCs for the 38s I've heard are being fitted with next stop announcements. Noticed today on 576 that it's been fitted with a display down the front & also when they were delivered they had speakers fitted. Small...

    D&G Buses

At least finally we are getting newer buses, the ex cardiff MMCs after some teething troubles have settled in nicely & are a hit with passengers. They do however need to employ more cleaning staff as if you look at interiors on some of their motors they haven't been deep cleaned for months...

    Trains running 12-20 November?

Good thing about KWVR is that even when the santa trains run they've usually always got a DMU running as the second service.

    D&G Buses

See this is where D&G miss a trick as they currently haven't got deckers. However I think they're gonna seriously look into them as an option.

New Woodhead Line Museum at Guide Bridge

I believe that the 506 cab owned by richard benyon who has the cab yard collection will be moving back to home turf once it's been restored. Think if I remember reading at the time it was planned to loan it to the museum & display it.

    Preserved DMU updates

GCRN when they eventually reopen & their units are restored should have an interesting little fleet. They've got: A 144 - 144003, pacers as we know are becoming more popular. The flange noise off that round the curve to 50 steps junction could be rather loud! A 116 - don't know anything...

Rail station outlets face clampdown on rip-off prices

Sadly it doesn't exist now I don't think but there used to be something called a bite card. You got if I remember right 10% off however I don't remember many places accepting it.

    Cars and owner stereotypes

No after a hatchback really as a cheap runabout it's just the for four looks quite good. Bit different from the rest of the crowd.

    Cars and owner stereotypes

Anybody know much about smart cars, I've been looking about on autotrader at a smart (not the tiny city micro machine) Looking at a smart for four, on the face of things they look rather good, bit different from your run of the mill hatchback. Just wondering if anyone owns one & can shed some...

    Cars and owner stereotypes

College/university age girls mainly I've noticed, a few blokes are starting to buy them now too. 1686764387 Vauxhall zafiras are usually onwed by families as they are 7 seaters. The toyota aygo although small seems to be a well liked car, mate of mine had one a while back as a hire car & it...
