Can't do my money-saving trick due to train strike?

I used to regularly use Sheffield to Denby Dale tickets to commute Manchester to Sheffield as thetrainline thought they were valid that way. It was only ruined after one guard on TPE said something along the lines of 'we aren't thetrainline' and ' it doesn't matter what your itinerary says'

No to all. A clue is that it's a multiple unit.

Might go and photograph that if I remember, certainly a rare move.

Definitely been allocated as far as Lockwood when there was engineering work on a Sunday according to RTT

    Where has a 195 been?

Off the top of my head, a few I can think of where they haven't been: Hazel Grove to Buxton. Edgeley Jn. to Chester via Altrincham. Skipton to Carnforth/Carlisle. Carlisle to Millom (if that's where they're banned from) via the Cumbrian Coast. I don't think many have gone Edgeley Jn. to Stoke...

Merseyrail mandates that Trainline tickets must be printed out

Indeed, I just wanted to highlight the relatively cheap cost of them. The figure banded about for ours is £400 over retail for the software, but ours have a  lot more custom software and apps (in the region of 20+ off the top of my head) versus what a TOC would reasonably need.

Thanks so much :) I've found a GPX that I've imported into my route planner of choice (Komoot). That'll be one I'd love to do in one day in the summer.

If it's the same ones I use at work, which I think it is, £351, with an extra £15.99 for a bumper case. They're often Zebra TC51 handsets. https://pacsupplies.co.uk/zebra-tc51-mobile-touch-computer-rugged-android-wifi-barcode-scanner (The link above is to a website supplying the Zebra TC51...

It's a VSTP (Very Short Term Plan) due to the landslip at New Mills Central. The planner just probably didn't uncheck the option that first class is available.
