Had a discussion with a guard over the validity of my Thames Rover (3 day) between Reading and Didcot Parkway. It is of course valid as shown by the map on National Rail Enquiries website. Its not helped though by www.gwr.co.uk in its very useful Rovers & Rangers section showing the validity...

Are Northern Complimentary Tickets (the ones got through Delay Repay) valid at all times during the day (ie morning peak) or only off peak?

Told by the gateline man just now at Crayford that my Zone 1-6 travelcard won't open the gates as its "only valid for 1 train journey to and from London and unlimited travel on tubes and buses". I'm assuming I'm correct in thinking this is nonsense?

On a Zone 1 to 6 Travelcard, is it also correct that only buses within the zone are valid too?

Was challenged this morning when using an Off Peak ticket on the 0837 Keyham to Plymouth. Guard said it wasn't valid before 9am due to off peak, however restriction W6 implies it is valid after 8.15am Can anyone confirm I'm not going mad? Happy to be proved wrong if necessary.
