    Warsaw and its trains

Just come back from a trip to Warsaw. What's the reason for having Centralna and Śródmieście separated like that, when it would be more logical to have them all together?

When are they due to refurbish these and make them 2+2 seating? Are they in fact still doing the latter?

Tour information link. UK Railtours have announced a tour with the Hastings DEMU on 15 April that will visit 13 London terminals. If I hadn't done all of them already, I would be interested.

I can of course exercise dramatic licence with certain things, but would appreciate some thoughts about...

    Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits (CIWL)

Trains departing with doors wide open

Just watched a movie (The Aftermath), which features a scene where a train departs a station with a passenger door wide open, a character boarding as it pulls out. Was this sort of thing, which seems very unsafe, common in real life? It happens a lot in movies.

What were the biscuits in question? Also, my 1967 Eastern Region timetable refers to "minerals"... was that just mineral water? When did BR actually start doing hot food on sleepers?
