Why would they not be able to be used by other TOCs purely because they’re in SWR livery? Look at Great Northern.. none of the 387s are in the actual GN livery, you have base Southern livery, ex-c2c, Gatwick Express and GWR and they’re all in service. The ex-GWR units don’t even have any logos...

The article mentions about being able to book out the seat next to you.. this definitely used to be available but having just checked a few journeys on the app it doesn’t seem to be there now? Does anyone know if it’s been removed or is it just not available on the app / on certain routes?

Can’t help but think that even if they just applied the orange band to the centre cars it would make the clash between the outer and inner vehicles somewhat less stark. It does look great though, although perhaps part of that is down to GC seemingly having given it a good clean!

The most recent Amazon stores don’t require that. If you want the convenience of simply walking in, picking items up, scanning a QR code and exiting you can do so, but they also have actual tills that you can use if you prefer.

Probably worth noting that a 365 was also sent away for fitting with ETCS, so Angel Trains doing that is no guarantee of the 180s surviving.. was a different ROSCO, admittedly, but I wouldn’t bank on that as a reason for the fleet staying.
