Caught Forged Train Ticket without Rail-card

I think you’ve already realised the cheapest option here (and probably the least amount of effort, time, etc) would have been for you to buy the valid railcard in the first instance. (£30 for a year, they’re not bad value!) What you may see as a mistake now was unfortunately a pre-meditated...

Does scanning a ticket at a barricade make it invalid?

They do. Just requires the member of staff to be willing (and able) to have a look and interpret the data.

Buy-on-Board Query | Authorised Person Permission | Discounted Fare

I’d hazard a guess that the guard who sold the ticket is audited on ticket sales - e.g. on offering discounts where the company expect they shouldn’t be. Would anyone have any insight as to whether this is the case?

Urgent - court case Friday 12th April

This sounds like you’ve already been convicted - is that the case? If so, what were the offence(s)? When you say that they agreed to reopen the case, what was involved in this process? Did you make a statutory declaration to the effect that you were unaware of the conviction?

How do i appeal an LNER delay repay decision?

Contact their generic Customer Services team with the appropriate reference number and an explanation.

    LNER ticket not available

If you’re using flexible tickets, yes. You can also buy these on the day at the same price (e.g. at a ticket office, on board a previous train, etc).

Thameslink Penalty Fare - I'd be grateful for your help please!

The TTK screenshot shows they were on a Cambridge to Kings Cross service.

Thameslink Penalty Fare - I'd be grateful for your help please!

We’ve discussed this before but there’s always likely to be a technical appeal point - e.g. whether the Penalty Fare posters at the station are compliant with the legislation requirements.

    Strange-looking paper ticket

There has been a thread about this previously - but I can’t find it with a few quick searches. Almost as if we talk about tickets and TVMs too much on this forum

    Derbyshire Wayfarer - Advice Needed

No, there isn’t. It’s sold via the Rangers/Rovers menu. Should be fairly simple for any ticket office (or guard) to sell.

    Non-Urgent TOPS Requests

Can anyone tell me the second unit with 387124 on 1T15 Ely to KGX this morning, please? Thank you :)

New Scotrail/EMR TVMs that only print e-tickets

It looks like the same model of machine as at some EMR locations. The EMR ones do indeed just print to what looks and feels a white receipt roll (no RSP number).

Delay repay: Can I claim in these two cases?

You may not have the ticket, but do you have a booking confirmation/receipt/etc? It may be worth reaching out to customer services to ask if they’d consider. I’m not sure on the second question.

Abellio Greater Anglia Class 755s (Regional Trains)

Do you mean Norwich to London diagrams? All of those services are operated by Stadler fleet.

Prosecution for Invalid Railcard with no information printed out

You mention two cards. Did the first card have an expiry date? I’m guessing you took it out of your wallet once that expiry date had been and gone. The photo card clearly says it’s only valid with a railcard bearing the same number. I’m not sure how you’ve been provided with an invalid card...

    Expired Railcard Prosecution

The railway do not need to offer a penalty fare. Most would suggest settling the amount stated to avoid escalation to criminal court.

    Sold more expensive ticket

It’s worth bearing in mind that the ticket office at Oakham is operated by East Midlands Railway. The OP would be advised to contact their customer services rather than CrossCountry.
