    TPE Plan for the future

Because they don't wish to pay for it. Ditching the 68's/Mk 5's & curtailing service will save them some £'s. Sod the passenger.

ASLEF Overtime Ban at TPE Suspended

Ammended timetable due to engineering works at Morley means fewer trains running, and fewer cancellations. Rest day working will commence Sat 24th June.

Formal offer to ASLEF by RDG

The government are able but not willing, same as all the others in dispute, Teachers, Nurses, Civil Servants etc etc. Drag it all out, pick off a few unions and groups of workers here and there who settle. Meanwhile hope that others start to break and industrial action starts to collapse, or...

Formal offer to ASLEF by RDG

Looks that way to me. I agree.

Formal offer to ASLEF by RDG

The offer whatever it is will be shocking, government don't want to settle with anyone let alone us lot.

Update to TOC RMT Dispute - RDG provide more information on proposed dispute resolution process

Take the 5% for 2022 pay award then go straight back into dispute over everything proposed in that resolution document concerning 2023. (If possible?) Tories clearly trying to suppress railway salaries now and going forward whilst making a grab for a load of terms and conditions.

TPE contract decision - what could happen?

TPE will get permission to pay Drivers the old rest day working rate sooner, rather than later. Once sanctioned by Aslef the service will improve and as a result Inept Mr Harper can then say they've started to turn it around and grant them a x month extension like he's done with Avanti...

    Future of TPE

Liverpool drivers no longer work to York, Leeds is as far as they go. Scarborough drivers only work as far as Leeds. Newcastle drivers have lost all 185 work in December so no longer sign that traction type. The above are all fairly recent decisions by the inept people (supposedly) in charge.

    UK Rail Passenger Numbers Discussion

90% + compared with pre covid isn't bad at all considering current service levels, industrial action, cost of living crisis etc etc....

ORR Press Release - Late-Notice Cancellations

Don't know how it will be ran but this TPE specific ballot closes early April. So unless there's a resolution beforehand TPE Drivers might have 2 mandates soon enough.

ORR Press Release - Late-Notice Cancellations

TPE drivers are currently being balloted for industrial action due to the company continuesly breaking their terms and conditions. How is a full time officer challenging and how have they been shifting goalposts? Genuinely intrigued by that comment (although off topic).

Transpennine Express boss apologises for poor services (BBC)

Nonsense. In what way are they trying to address things? The below is all I've seen/read. "We are bringing forward a recovery plan for the business, which we will be discussing with the DfT and Rail North Partnership shortly and I will give you more detail in due course". Of which I have zero...

Transpennine Express boss apologises for poor services (BBC)

It will be because they run very few trains on a Sunday, even fewer today due to engineering works. There'll be plenty of drivers sat around all depots twiddling their thumbs as the company runs trains based on the small number of guards who are committed to work on a given Sunday. They could...

Transpennine Express boss apologises for poor services (BBC)

I don't think Aslef will sign off a RDW agreement anytime soon until bigger dispute is sorted.

New offer made to RMT by Rail Delivery Group

It's an insult to label this an offer, it's nothing more than an all out attack on T&C's and pay.

Rail strikes: Why have FOCs recovered quicker?

Yeah, that's what I meant, didn't quite word it correctly  and more will follow

Rail strikes: Why have FOCs recovered quicker?

As Lucy says above and as a result I see a load of fed up TOC drivers leaving for FOCs.

New offer made to RMT by Rail Delivery Group

Why does there have to be savings? Devolved administrations have settled disputes and pay deals without slashing workers terms and conditions. It's a political choice. Anyhow the offers and everything I've seen put out by the RDG are both lazy and vague to say the least (as well as...

New offer made to RMT by Rail Delivery Group

I think it's an utterly crap offer, not to dissimilar from the first. Would rather go another year without a rise.
