Trainee Depot Driver East Midlands Trains

And with Derby signalling work there's going to be a shortage of depot work very soon for the drivers based there. We'll have to play lots of dart (there's one dart and a board).

Trainee Depot Driver East Midlands Trains

Too be honest they're woefully short at Notts too. The numbers suggest that after the July course passes out they will be about even but that won't last long as there are still Mainline retirements, depot going to freight, the odd depot driver choosing to stay as a depot driver, drivers spadding...

Trainee Service Driver - Neville Hill EMT

Probably because NH is a joint venture between EMT and Northern? Also I'm not sure whether service drivers are in line for the natural progression to mainline with EMT because of this, although it would still be a good option I'd have thought

Trainee Service Driver - Neville Hill EMT

These roles get hundreds of applications. Take your time as applications filled in incorrectly or with poor grammar etc get binned but don't dilly dally!

    How often do Assessments change

The point is 'if' they make changes, they might not. If someone fails the opc tests and uses all their lives then it would suggest that person does not have the necessary skills, especially for a driver role.

    How often do Assessments change

As for the driving assessments there is no set time when they change them. As research moves on and requirements alter then the assessment process may be tweaked but this is by no means guaranteed. If you have used your 2 lives up then that's pretty much it I would have thought.

SPADs and the prospect of being easily sacked.

I've been a little concerned about this too. Having read a few threads I reckon it's a case of sticking to the rules, developing good routines and not becoming complacent. It's always going to be a concern but I think if it wasn't that's when you're most likely to get a SPAD! Also think of...
