Bus Drivers - Would you recommend it?

I've heard good things too. What job did you go on to do? Many say it's not an easy job to move on from. 1627684577 Sounds like you've got a good thing going on there

Bus Drivers - Would you recommend it?

Started off with driver. Made it all the way through DMI but fell on one question at MMI. Since I've applied for guard, Rail operator, station ambassador, shunter and trainee driver again. Passed the interview for a few of those, but as I say, never got the offer. Always a "close second"

Bus Drivers - Would you recommend it?

Yes, I've been applying for years. Passed a few interviews, but never got the offer. There are mixed opinions on whether experiance with buses can help a rail application though. Any thoughts?

Bus Drivers - Would you recommend it?

Where does the stress come from? What town/city are you in?

Bus Drivers - Would you recommend it?

I've been offered a job with Stagecoach. I'm in two minds as to whether to accept or not. Its not a big town, so shouldn't be too stressful. I know the money isn't great, £25k for a 43 hour week. Is there much scope for financial increases as the career progresses? To those already doing the...

How many applications and interviews until you cracked it?

Thanks, good advice Thanks, good advice. I passed a DMI, fell short at MMI. Accepted back in for another trainee driver process with just DMI and MMI to do. That was exactly a year ago, covid has slowed things down and my original assements will expire in July this year so not enough time to...

How many applications and interviews until you cracked it?

Maybe? I passed DMI, rail operator. Close, but not close enough! I know how you feel. Do you get any useful feedback? What job are you doing now?

How many applications and interviews until you cracked it?

1610889885 Good to see you finally cracked it. I guess those that finally walk away just didn't want it enough. Good to read it worked out well for you

How many applications and interviews until you cracked it?

Good for you. I just got pipped at the post for Rail Operator. I met the standards oh so hopefully next time and I can follow the same path you did. Well done

How many applications and interviews until you cracked it?

I guess timing helps in a big way. I imagine the next few years will be the toughest with so many displaced people with the right skills and experience who wouldn't have persued the railway before covid.

How many applications and interviews until you cracked it?

I did speak to them. I was told they couldn't give me any more than I failed to give a sufficient response to area A. I have no clue what or where area A is. Nobody in the industry can answer this either..

How many applications and interviews until you cracked it?

I was only told I "failed to give a significant response to area A" I still don't know what area A is. My current Assements expire in July so there is no way I can sit the MMI again and then go onto a pool. I'm going to have to start again from scratch by looking for opportunities and applying...

How many applications and interviews until you cracked it?

Congratulations! Maybe I shouldn't get disheartening at this stage. I've passed a DMI but fell short of an offer at MMI. Passed Rail Operator but pipped by another candidate. Just gotta keep on going

How many applications and interviews until you cracked it?

6 years and 25 applications later and I still can't crack the railway. I'm not sure whether to put my efforts into something else now or to continue. How many applications did you make it until you got that offer?

    .

Same as me, September 14th. I also applied last year. Passed the assessment in Swindon and never heard a thing back, intact my application is still live. I have the "withdraw application" button still there.

I was also told the job has been cancelled. When did you apply? Was it mid September?
