Actually not sure on that one-think it depends where you are training. I’ll get the SE allowance in my box, but am currently at signal school in York and not getting it, presumably because I’m officially working up here.

Lots of us currently in the Marriott hotel, which has a small and handy gym...... Not so handy that I've got round to using it yet mind you.... It's also a 25 min walk each way to school, which in itself is a little bit of exercise daily.

Is that figure right? £50k grade 4 when all the enhancements taken into consideration etc ? I was thinking I was being optimistic in expecting/hoping to earn circa £40k at grade 4. Are there really many out there at grade 4 taking home close to 50k? (Please say yes, please say yes!! )

I’ve had this happen a few times and a simple restart of my laptop seems to solve the issue.

No sports clothes required. I was a bit nervous about the medical as I'm, ahem, carrying some timber presently.... I really needn't have worried. The one I had was very straight forward - weight, height, eye sight, hearing test, urine sample, few questions etc. Nothing to worry about.

Thanks Gareth. Looking at that roster, a couple of strategically placed holiday days can lead to a nice decent break every few weeks.

Are most 8 hr rostas similar to the one discussed above? Seems a little negativity around the 8hr patterns.. Is anybody able to provide an example of an 8 hr rosta with 12hr Sunday’s?
