If I was a company looking to recruit employees, my focus would be on the candidates who met the criteria. Not the ones who failed during the initial stage. Only thing suspicious is your inability to accept that on this occasion, you just wasn't good enough.

They would only be trolls if they knew the outcome, something tells me they didn't. The fact that people from the November applications were being invited to assessments as late as February, I highly doubt it was completely misjudged by those that tried to keep the failures positive.

I've known people to get a call the same day, others the next day. Maximum should be 3 days though.

Without 2 years driving experience, the OP won' be going anywhere. 32 months at Arriva before you can apply for MTR. If the companies were reversed with their start times, would you have asked the same question?

You have nothing to worry about. I know of an applicant that made it through Stage 1 and was the only one on the day at Stage 2, but others from his day at Stage 1 made it through. It all depends on many variables we are not privy to. Be patient, you will receive an email either way.

Stage 2 Assessment attendee's are normally in groups of 6, so other candidates hearing before you is nothing to worry about.

I'd wait a while before losing hope, there is bound to be a number of assessment days.

The portal is rarely updated, always shows the initial application date, regardless of progression stage.
