Lothian Group discussion (Lothian City, Lothian Country Bus and East Coast Buses)

Never have been and at this time never will be for Lothian Country. Give the newsworthy and new products to a lower performing subsidiary miles away from full engineering without full testing etc? Not a chance. They may visit, but it's not permanent at this time. The hope is that electric...

Yeah a good number of the native B9's have had Euro 6 mods done. Some will continue as testbeds within the fleet, before being withdrawn as the fleet replacement program accelerates. A small scale internal audit into converting the entire B9 fleet to Euro 6 was conducted - the thought was that...

    Independent Operators in the Lothians

Lothian Ridacards are only valid on Lothian, Airlink, Skylink, East Coast Buses and Lothian Country, the latter two only valid in the appropriate zones. The only connection was the 69. The fact Prentice services are shown as connections is nothing more than good planning. Specifically, East...

    Independent Operators in the Lothians

A lot of charging (albeit slow charging) can be achieved through a 32 amp or 63 amp power supply. Most depots have machinery that runs off this supply type. Short term loans and trials can utilise this, or if a company nearby has said power, companies my negotiate the use of this. The other...

the 42 and 19 terminate in the depot. Passengers are allowed to alight and board here. I have heard of some drivers refusing, but it is indeed allowed. Where the traffic lights are at the junction of Sir Harry Lauder Road, Kings Road and Portobello Road used to be a roundabout. I believe buses...
