    Nope all Aventras use the same software. It’s a new product so you get teething issues with it. Seems to be getting quite stable on the 345’s.

    I believe they only have certain slots to test it due to the fact the line has to be closed to allow the train to fully test the ETCS signalling. I believe they have some slots in a few weeks.

    Yes it was 100% the right train, It went round Greenford loop as it saves having to go to Hayes then run the loco around onto the other end. The last bit onto the depot is propelled on. That would be 345021 the other central section testing train.

    I believe it’s only used at night due to construction work during the day in the tunnels, so would probably appear that it’s not been doing much. I’m not sure, but the path was from Stratford so I presume it went through the tunnels and came up at Stratford...

    The train has had to be hauled to Old Oak overnight for cleaning, depending on how corrosive the paint is that they’ve used and how quick they are to clean it can depend on what damage is actually done to the original paint work. If left on for too long it can eat away at the 345’s paintwork...

    It wasn’t done at a depot, it was done at Abbey Wood I believe. It has however been taken to Old Oak Common for cleaning. What a waste of everyone’s time and money just so someone can have some fun for 5 minutes with a bit of spray paint.

    Because it’s only 7 cars. It’s one of the RLU’s going over to Old Oak to run the May timetable. 345017 will be heading over tomorrow, again hauled by a 37 from ROG.
