Traveline.info/NextBuses.mobi is not showing any live departure times from any stops in the North West of England, and hasn't been for at least a week. The TfGM and Merseytravel apps are both stil showing live times (where available). Other parts of the country (e.g. Lincolnshire) are still...

TfGM-website, timetable updates and general news concerning TfGM bus stations.

The change to these evening services (the R9/10 was only introduced last month) is a desperate attempt to provide *something* in the absence of the scheduled journeys, which are mainly not running, thanks to Rosso's continuing and chronic driver shortage. (Why are Rosso so badly affected, anyone...

    Memories of Holborn Viaduct

Only London terminus I never properly got to. I did visit it once, some time in the 1980s, but as it was a Saturday it was shut. And it was still busier than Broad Street. (Through the street entrance doors I could see units stabled in the platforms - was that normal weekend practice?)

TRIVIA : Most Unusual names for bus/coach operators (current/historical)

There was nowt reasonable about UK North ... Moving swiftly on, GM Buses (the original, not the UK North version) and, much later, Goodwins Coaches have both used 'Little Gem' as a fleetname/brand. It is, of course, a lettuce.

Most Interesting, Most Nostalgic, Most Boring, Most Hated

Most interesting: It's a cliche, I know, but Exeter St D round to Newton Aaaabott for me. Scenery, birdlife, deer at Powderham Castle, the remains of the Atmospheric. Always a joy, even in the days when I did it regularly. Most nostalgic: It's almost all been swept away, but Manchester Victoria...

Transpennine Route Upgrade and Electrification updates

There was one timed bus feeder to Greenfield, service 356. Unfortunately after the last rail timetable change it wasn't possible to connect with trains and run the timetable with one bus, so now it is of very little use as a feeder .... and is being replaced by a long route from Oldham to Ashton...

Blackpool North: The most unfriendly station in the country?

They weren't bothering last Friday ... barrier gates wide open when I arrived in the morning, and nobody manning them, and then whilst the barriers were working when I left in the afternoon, the entrances to the platforms were open and unstaffed, so I sat on a 319 for about twenty minutes.

How would you Rate your Local Station?

My Local: Greenfield (GNF) Setting: a bit poorly sited for most of the catchment area, but geography dictates this is the only possible site. Somewhat uphill from Greenfield itself. Bus links now greatly improved thanks to an hourly village bus that connects with the trains. (7/10)...
