    Fair enough but there is plenty of coal left in the uk, which we will never be allowed to touch, there is no need to ship coal half way around the world just to meet government targets for not digging it up here, it doesn't make sense to me when it is probably causing more environmental damage...

    I seem to recall that the steam railway magazines had an informal agreement not to publish pictures of engines being put to hard work and producing lots of "dirty" smoke - white steam was ok. But I think it will be preserved steam's "neighbours" i.e. nearby housing, that will be more of a threat...
