Thank you. I did not know about the accident, but glad it should be back soon.

I've not seen it posted, sorry if it has, but why is 623 at Ferrymill motors?

I did not think of the roller blinds of back in the day. Makes total sense. However, with that said, I wonder if now that all buses (bar a handful) have digital displays, if that will change at the big rejig of services that will come.

Something which has confused not just myself, but others, including tourists, has been the express buses. X24 is express for 124 and not 24 as 24 does not have an express bus, so why call it the X24? Yet, X44 is express for 44. So, my question for those in the know is why the X24 is not...

One thing that I like about the bus is the display. It looks like the e-ink display, though not sure if it is.

I've said it before, but this is the type of attitude I will never understand. It's a BUS company that takes people from point A to point B and unless you own shares in it, then why would you care so much to not even say 'First'? It's sad.

    I note 631, 634-645, 649 + 650 are now out on route 21. One on 26 one on 49.

Just to add for those who might not know, before the UK changed how vehicle index plates are displayed, the 2 or 3 digits of the plate used to be the fleet number, example GSC658X was 658 and P282PSX was 282. It was a lovely way to have the fleet numbers. That said, while a simple system, it was...

Posting again as it was deleted... The Source is from an email, not sure how I can link to that. Put inside a quote.

Edinburgh Tour Operators: Bright Bus, Lothian (Majestic, Three Bridges) etc.

Also, if pre-recorded and the bus needs to divert and not pass a certain landmark, some tourists may get confused why the audio is talking about x landmark which they can't see, which would not be good. A live guide, however, would mean more details could be given, and more importantly...

When or if 1076 is repaired and hits the road or the crusher, it will be posted about on here I am sure of it.

No idea but I would guess somewhere in St Andrews? Or near Trongate Glasgow No, that's St Andrew Square. (I suspect people have got confused with the speed most say the name and thought it was Andrews, but it's just Andrew as in the Patron saint of Scotland). Or running past the Scots...

No, that did happen. 44 ran to Princes Street and back. Very start of the pandemic, 29th March through April and it ran every 30 min I believe. I can't comment on 124, although I believe this to be the case.

I believe 280 has gone back to the normal route now but if anything else happens, will be fully withdrawn for the rest of the night.

Yes, I am telling you that this IS widespread and happening in many places in Edinburgh, not just one or two locations. That is why it is not as simple as just curtailing some routes. And we are not talking about little stones here, but actual house bricks. Now, let's move on from this and...

Lothian Group discussion (Lothian City, Lothian Country Bus and East Coast Buses)

One question. Imagine your daughter is on a bus which has just been attacked by those youths, she's petrified as the brick came through the window she was sitting next to. Showered in glass. Would you still be saying that more warning was needed? This has been going on for months, and last...
  17. SpeedbirdA350

Lothian Group discussion (Lothian City, Lothian Country Bus and East Coast Buses)

Bricks and rocks have been thrown at vehicles smashing windows and windscreens. MANY buses been taken off the road. A driver was HOSPITALISED. Should the company wait until a person is killed before acting?! What if a brick hit a passenger? What if it hit the driver? Although if that happened...

I know that several buses were damaged tonight again. It's just pathetic. NHS Lothian will be putting on taxis for staff who need to get home using public transport, so no staff member will be out of pocket. They need to speak to their line manager.

Lothian Group discussion (Lothian City, Lothian Country Bus and East Coast Buses)

While many people will be angry, they should direct the anger at those (insert word(s) of your choice here) for throwing rocks and bricks at buses. It was either this, or someone was going to get killed. I suspect some routes tomorrow will be curtailed to avoid the trouble areas. I do feel...
