Surely by now most TOCs know the volume of applications they are about to receive and could even set an hour when the application will close. e.g. they know they always get 400 to 600 applications within X hours.

I've also looked at applying for this role and would be curious. I suspect it is Tyne Valley line, East Coast up to Chathill and the line down to Middlesborough.

As others have said they'll take anybody with the right abilities. If you want to give yourself a head start you could start learning about the test process but as others have said you have to pass the paper sift and often online tests first.

It sounds to me like you are talking about a Situational Judgement Exercise. These are common as part of the first stage of the recruitment process. I took one of these with Virgin recently and instantly received an automated email saying I'd failed it. A few days later I received another email...

I was called at 10am on Friday morning. My guess is that he was getting the rejection calls out of the way and then calling swayed and the other two but I could be wrong. He just said contact OPC to get results and wasn’t very specific.

I have emailed them but I got an auto reply from “jo” saying she was out of the office til the 30th so I guess I have to wait a bit. What’s your situation?

There is a separate question about when you've dealt with an emergency so I think it is any rules and procedures. For you it could be what to do when a passenger has no ticket for example.

Cheers dude I’ve definitely learned a lot and of course I’ve got 7 passes in the bag. Just currently unsure if I have 1 attempt left or 3 because some use MMI instead of CBI.
