    Witness Statement Thameslink Query!!

Can you get someone to check your post every few days for you? That would seem the simplest option.

London travel advice (with Disabled Railcards)

Unfortunately in London paper single/returns are much more expensive than the Oyster/contactless equivalents, so only the Travelcard would be a sensible option. If Oyster/contactless were an option, it would work out cheaper both because the daily cap is less than the Travelcard, and there are...

London travel advice (with Disabled Railcards)

If you don't want to use Oyster/Contactless, you'll want to buy a Zones 1-6 Day Travelcard for each day you'll be travelling around London. With a Disabled Railcard, this is £10.40 per person per day for an Off-Peak Travelcard. (Fridays are off-peak until the end of May.)

Is this me or are train companies offering off peak returns that are not valid?

There is no evening peak on the Off-Peak Day Return between Huddersfield and Knaresborough. The restriction code applicable is I2, which prohibits travel on trains scheduled to depart between 04:29 and 09:15 on the outbound leg only.

Potential up to 2,000 job losses at Alstom Derby

If there were more trains for the Elizabeth Line, could they be effectively used at present - how many spare paths are there?

Notice of intention to prosecute GTR - 2+ months later

No; this is in fact the criminal charge that you are pleading guilty to.

    Cambridge-London commute

https://timetables.greatnorthernrail.com/GN/#/timetables/2365/Table%20A shows how busy each train is typically; the key shows that you should be able to get a seat on a train if the time has a yellow or green background. The 0709 looks quite bad for getting a seat; the 0653 however looks good...

Merseyrail mandates that Trainline tickets must be printed out

If it’s a TOD ticket but the departure station doesn’t have TOD facilities, then is it possible for it to have ticket selling facilities? If not then surely a new ticket is the only valid course.

Split Ticket Validity with SWR/Grand Central for 8th April?

https://www.grandcentralrail.com/strike suggests that Grand Central will not be accepting tickets on different days (at least that is the practical position, I don't know if the legal position is different), but refund/change of journey should be possible.

    Misleading from LNER

Is this true? I thought some splits were cheaper on Trainline if their fee were less than Trainsplit's share of savings fee.

    Gravesend to London Undergrnd Zones

These fares only allow two (one for the outbound and one for the inbound) trips on London Underground at the end/beginning of the journey. Travelcards are valid for unlimited travel in London so would typically be more expensive. A ticket office should be able to sell these if you ask for them...

"Please avoid using any third party applications"

If the announcement was as written in the first post, then I’d have interpreted it as a (unduly excessive/poorly phrased) reminder for passengers to pay attention to announcements rather than be distracted by their phones and miss their trains.

    Trainsplit Refund

If you’ve purchased Advance tickets which is likely, there is no right to a refund, only to a change to a different date/time. Flexible tickets can be refunded less an administration fee; these can be refunded after the date of travel so there is no rush as such.

Chiltern use station toilet mirror for "revenue protection"

Avanti doesn't run a Penalty Fares scheme, do they? So it would be legitimate to buy on board even if you're supposed to buy before you travel.

Delay Repay where a short final leg is abandoned

Unfortunately my final destination is between Watford Junction and Watford North (but much closer to North), so I wouldn’t have a time of arrival at Watford North. Thanks - it’s a little annoying especially if I end up paying for a bus instead of walking but sounds like I’ll just have to live...

Delay Repay where a short final leg is abandoned

I will be using a Tring to Watford North season ticket for a few weeks for work. The service from Watford Junction to Watford North is hourly, so in the event of a missed connection, it would be faster to walk to my final destination (or potentially take a bus). Am I correct that there is no...

    Incorrect oyster charge

You probably entered Angel before 16:00 (or 16:02 I think as there’s a small grace period). If you have an online Oyster account you can see exactly what time you tapped in.
