Not saying that change of fleet is a bad idea, probably makes more sense than the 68 fleet in hindsight, but how many more 88's would need to be procured (roughly) do you think?

Let us hope that NR and it's supply chain step up to the mark and deliver this project without some of the issues that plagued some of the recent electrification projects South of the border. There appears to be headroom built into this plan with NR encouraged to develop innovative solutions...

Difficult to seperate out the purely Northern Rail element, I would suggest, given the involvement of Network Rail and the DfT in this sorry tale.

Rail Replacement transport is less than ideal for such journey but it gets people moving in the direction of travel and should help placate the understandable frustration. The guy going to Kings Cross may get what he wants; he's obviously buying time if he has already made his way there.

I understand some of the practicalities of that but how are the pax to reach their destinations? Tomorrow's service; 24 hrs later?

I really hope that offering is not the intended livery. How uninspiring. People were paid good money to come up with that? Jeez.
