Received a email this morning saying I had passed the online tests and have been invited to a assessment day on the 24th in Leeds.

Do the vse exercise and sjt online tests for Freightliner count towards one of your 2 attempts at passing the phscometric tests to becomea train driver?

I emailed them yesterday about it, and I ended up calling them today. It turns out they had made a mistake and apologised for it, then sent me a link to complete the tests. I'm so glad I called them today.

I had the exact same email, I have only ever sat 1 test before which was in 2019. I phoned them today, they took my details and within 30 minutes they had apologised for there mistake and sent me a link to complete the test. I would give them a call tomorrow

I will give them a call today to try and clarify what they mean. I have never heard of tocs individual sjt stopping you from applying for a job with somebody else. I thought somebody might be able to shed a bit of light on the matter. I will post back when I get a response from them.

When deciding who goes through to next stage do you think it will be based purely on the telephone interview or will it be based on the score for the 3 online tests, interview and cv when deciding who is successful. What does everybody think?

That's me out then, by only inviting candidates with 3 years experience on the railways to apply is going to rule out quite a lot of people. Doesn't seem fair to me but I suppose they can decide the rules.

I live quite close to Neville hill depot so this job could be appealing, but if the natural progression is to become a mainline driver and you have to live 45 minutes to 1 hour away Surely me been in west yorkshire would fall outside those parameters? Where do EMR base there train drivers?

I have an ongoing application in with northern as a trainee train driver. What will happen with the recruitment process? Does it carry on as normal or will it just stop the process if they are going to lose the franchise?
