    Unfortunately it will not work, the front DT would only control that set and the loco but not the set behind it.

    A few other systems as well, HABD doesnt work and if no power then no WSP so restricted to 75mph if not powered up. Hauled them in all states with the above traction, currently I think the pair of 86s and then with 47830 was the best.

    Mk5a's dont need anything special they have buffers, shackle and pipes at each end. If brakes are commissioned anything can haul them, I am trying to prove it as I've hauled them with a 68, 66, 70, 47 and 86s just need thec08 and 90 to complete the set!

    Should have taken all three from Basford Hall, Unfortunately when the stock gets put together the pipes dont reach and I only had one set of pipe extensions so left set 1 at Basford Hall for another day. 830 needed a blow out (to much light engine running) so took her for a blast out as well.

    The 185s was a cheap design for Siemens so was designed Nd built to a price. I remember the staff at Wildenrath making a point of showing us their proper stock and especially the basic class how superior it was to our 1st class.

    Where is the evidence that the build work is done badly and beyond schedule. Most of the sets are built already. Most of the issues are software based and balancing between the 68 (different company) and the stock. It would also need to be asked what was the original design spec by the client...

    Why would it be inactive? WSP in emergency should still work unless it was electrically dead.
