Unfortunately not. I thought the situation was dead in the water back last year. Got contacted to have a second dmi interview in January and it’s moved quickly since then. They said they couldn’t understand why I’d been left for so long.

Applied August 2018. 1st assessment September ‘18. 2nd assessment October ‘18. 3rd interview January ‘21. Start in April 2021.

After spending almost 2 and a half years in the talent pool, today I finally received my contract to sign ready for a start date in April. Can’t wait.

I received the email. I had a DMI back in October 2018 and was placed in a talent pool waiting for a position. I emailed back saying I was happy resit the DMI if necessary but haven’t heard anything since. Sent a couple of follow up emails as well but still no reply.

I contacted recruitment, as I also applied but haven’t heard anything, and they said keep an eye on your emails because you will hear either way. They replied within 10 minutes which I was impressed with as most companies never even respond.

I’ve been in a talent pool since November 2018....still waiting....

I’ve applied via the Acorn link for Cardiff as well. Submitted the initial application and received an email confirming my application. Haven’t received a link to answer any questions though.

In the pool for Rugby and have been since November 2018.

Personally, I drove from Birmingham up to Crewe the night before and spent the night. Wanted to make sure I was as fresh as possible and wouldn’t be late.

Had my interview at the Freightliner HQ in Crewe about 4 weeks after passing.

Your results last 5 years with them. So I presume that long.

I’ve been there since November for Birmingham / Crewe / Bedford / Sandiacre. It’s a tough wait. Think the Mendip contract has impacted on others starting their training.

Also was unsuccessful. Would love to get some feedback on how I could improve in the future. Best of luck to everyone who is waiting to hear.

Completely up to you pal. I had some notes next to me. I wouldn’t worry about it too much, will only take you max 10 minutes.

Don’t think you need anything special. I completed mine on my laptop and used the built in webcam.

I can understand your point of view but personally I am happy to help give any advice to someone who asks for it. I know it has helped me a great deal and not, as far as I’m aware, put the person who gave it at a disadvantage.
