Well they have released some advance tickets for the 25th, but next to none at the lower price points.
Taking King's Cross to Newcastle, most of the day is £70 single.
I tried at King's Cross today where you would expect these would be most frequently seen and was advised that there was nothing they could do as this ticket is not for sale offline!
King's Cross to Newcastle - with railcard
Correct!
Raileasy did suggest something similar in booking two Super Off Peak Single (online) to form a return journey and then returning the second for a refund.
However, they would not budge beyond a 50% reduction in admin fee for refunding this...
Except with an advance you can change the date. With this ticket, I can’t change the date as I can’t get a retailer online or off to process the change?
It's a LNER journey. Unfortunately, the ticket was for today and I haven't been able to get to a mainline station to try. I'm planning to travel tomorrow so hopefully King's Cross might be able to help.
I have a problem at the moment mid-trip with one of these.
I purchased advance one way (used) and super offpeak single online for the return via raileasy.
I now need to change the date of the return travel and raileasy require me to purchase a new ticket and submit the existing for refund...
There are certainly instances where mandatory connections further down route are built from timings on these connections - e.g. onwards from East Croydon
Has anyone else noticed that the LNER website is currently selling advance tickets with connections between King's Cross and St Pancras at much less than 31 minutes.
I can find journeys where the connection allowed is just 21 minutes.
As of the latest version released (at least to the iOS version) you are now able to bid on upgrades on tickets booked via any retailer and any ticket type. This is done via entering journey details and manually selecting the train departure.
