    LNER Train Driver Video Interview

They are just competency based questions. Fairly generic ones . No one’s going to give you the exact questions they will ask you on here. Study the job role and description and you’ll be able to pretty much work it out based on that.

I don’t think anyone will get a response until the listing is removed from their website. It’s still up at the moment..

There wasn’t anywhere on the application form from what I remember asking if I’d completed psychometrics testing before. Perhaps I should have added it to my C.V? I was hoping this would be something asked or that I could mention in the interview if successful to that stage.

I think everyone is in the same position. It’s hard but best to try and forget about it as we could be waiting months for a reply as bet they are really busy. It’s hard not to keep checking your emails though! :p

Yes on a face to face interview you sometime get help with questions when you havn’t quite gave the answer they are looking for , like they will reword it slightly. You can pause to take a drink and have a little think before you speak. Or you may ask to skip or repeat a question and come back...

    LNER - Apprentice Driver - Newcastle (09/02/22)

I felt confident with the sjt and error checking, didn’t feel confident atall with the 3rd test. Just quickly read the passage then went with my 1st instinct for the answers as I was conscious of time. Finished with 3 minutes remaining and passed. Wouldn’t remember the answers if I ever had to...

    LNER - Apprentice Driver - Newcastle (09/02/22)

It’s going to be a good few weeks I’d guess. The vacancy is still open for people to apply until the 16th then those that pass the tests will be given a further 3 days to do their video interviews too. Then they will all need to be assessed also. Can’t imagine they will conduct any teams...

    LNER - Apprentice Driver - Newcastle (09/02/22)

It went ok. Felt I answered some questions perfectly but stumbled abit on others . As usual afterwards I’m realising there’s quite abit I could of added that I missed out but that’s the name of the game when recording yourself under pressure. So could of went better but could of gone worse. Now...

    LNER - Apprentice Driver - Newcastle (09/02/22)

Can anyone confirm it’s 6 questions you get asked in total with 2 attempts for each . Only asking as it states in my email to set aside 30 mins but don’t worry you won’t need that. I’m guess that’s if you do all the recordings well on your first attempt! Doing mine this morning and pretty...

how did you feel you did? I’ve just done a practice talking to myself in my car driving home from work. It felt very weird. Think I will use my phone too as I have the most stable connection on there. Good luck going to do mine tomorrow.

Hopefully with giving everyone only 3 days notice they will be a little lenient towards not having the best connection of camera setup. Does anyone fully know how it works . Is the camera built into the webpage link that you follow or do you have to close the page and quickly record yourself on...
