Potential up to 2,000 job losses at Alstom Derby

Presumably, if TfL purchase a few more trains for the Elizabeth line (to provide extra connections to Old Oak Common) they would prefer them to be on the Adventra platform rather than mixing them with a new type of train

Potential up to 2,000 job losses at Alstom Derby

Worth watching the above. One of the main points is that once the Aventra production line stops in about six weeks time, there will be a dearth of orders until things really start to pick up from 2027 onwards . Derby will probably survive but it will be an assembly plant employing hundreds...

As they are owned by Ashok Leyland it might be better if they could use the Leyland name, unless anybody else has rights to it.

    Go South Coast

Most of the Empress road vehicles were previously stationed at Barton Park in Eastleigh. Barton Park is an industrial estate which in recent weeks has had buses parked all over the place. I think there will still be maintenance/ refurbishment facilities at BP, but not so many buses based there.
