Stagecoach North Scotland (Bluebird and Highland)

    Ah that makes sense.

Stagecoach North Scotland (Bluebird and Highland)

From Stagecoach: Anyone know the reason for this?

    Scottish Citylink

I wonder if this is reflecting the reduced capacity per coach that they've got available since a lot of the Panoramas left the fleet?

    McGill’s Midland Bluebird

I was on a B7RLE/Urban 2 a few days ago on which the yellow Check Engine symbol was flashing, and the yellow Check Engine text was lit. It felt like it was running on limp mode too but it could have just been the driver.

Will autism affect me getting a PCV licence?

I would say it depends how your autism affects you in terms of the non-driving aspects of the job. One of the effects it has for me is that I need more sleep than the average person (10-12+ hours a night) which means I can't work full time, this is making it extremely difficult for me to get...

Lothian Group discussion (Lothian City, Lothian Country Bus and East Coast Buses)

Ah right, fair enough. I don't think I went on the demonstrator in person in service. I went in at the Doors Open Day and strongly disliked how few step-free seats there were downstairs (about 8, compared to 17 on the 2017 B5TL/Gemini 3s), but it was busy so I left before I had had a detailed...

    Bright Bus Airport Express service

Ahh okay, I read that as only applying to the Tour but now you point it out you're right, it doesn't say that it's only tours. A follow-on question: where does the training for this take place? Is it done at Livingston or do trainees need to travel to Falkirk or Stirling?

    Bright Bus Airport Express service

How are drivers recruited for the Airport Express? As the only vacancy advertised on the website is explicitly for Tours (https://www.mcgillsscotlandeast.co.uk/careers). Thanks.

Wasn't it every 8-10 minutes before COVID? I don't have the timetables to hand to check but I thought I remembered it being the most frequent route out of Longstone?

Why were 926-931 numbered in the 9xx range instead of following on from 301-329 in the 3xx range?

The 26 is already every 10 minutes. The next sensible step up would be to every 7.5 minutes (every 15 mins per branch), unless you go to every 9 or 8 minutes and accept that it's going to be a two-, three-, four-, etc -hourly repeating timetable.

    Lothian group (Network/Route Speculation)

That's interesting, I find it's usually fairly quiet on the Murrayfield side. I wonder if there's anything could be done to help the Midlothian side without providing excess capacity on the Murrayfield side? If the 25 is only needing an increase on the Heriot-Watt side then you could run some...

What does the green "bug" icon mean on the driver's dashboard? I've only seen it on the right hand side on the B5/400MMCs but it might be present on other types too. Thanks.

I haven't heard of there being a shortage of training vehicles, and as you say there's not a shortage of single decks at City at the moment. It could possibly be for a service increase at Country? I know Country had single deckers previously before they cut the service back; those single deckers...

    Edinburgh Tram developments

I suspect they'll put an island stop on North Bridge with traffic going round the outside of it, then just plain line through South Bridge with trams and road traffic all sharing two lanes and pavements widened to occupy the remainder of the road (the council is currently planning to widen the...

Stagecoach North Scotland (Bluebird and Highland)

What is 19735 and why is it less suitable? It's not coming up when I do a Find On Page on the Bluebird, Highland or East Scotland bustimes pages.

Stagecoach North Scotland (Bluebird and Highland)

What exactly was the issue? They are only five years old, even if unsuitable I wouldn't think they should be failing frequently if maintained properly.

Lothian Group discussion (Lothian City, Lothian Country Bus and East Coast Buses)

The image I've seen is posted in a private Facebook group ("Official McGill's Bus Enthusiast Group", https://www.facebook.com/groups/1455698127967375/?ref=share) although I think anyone with an account would be accepted if they requested to join. I can't find the page rules now so I'm unsure if...
