You know how the 444s and 450s change sound at 20mph, having watched some videos from 2010, it seems that the speed at which this happens used to be roughly 5mph. Out of interest, why was it changed to 20mph?
This thread is essentially the opposite of this one: https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/trivia-towns-which-do-not-deserve-the-service-they-get.180614/.
Bracknell for example has a large population of 83 000, but it only gets 2 trains per hour to Waterloo and 2 to Reading. Any more?
Why do the 458 automated announcements sound as if they are lots of announcements put together? Is it because of the way they were merged /refurbished with the 460s in 2013? For example, "This is | Wokingham. | Please remember to take all your personal items with you when you leave the train."
I do think it's time these trains are refurbished. The seat covers look fairly worn inside and these trains were last refreshed in 2003-2005. Does anyone agree with me?
Can someone please send a link to an audio/take a video of the SWR onboard announcement which says ''Please note, Oyster, contactless payment cards and freedom passes without a suitable extension are not valid on this service'?. Thanks
According to the South Western Railway plan timeline, in February 2019 there will be upgrades to Southampton Central and Wimbledon station. What is being done to improve these stations?
Can someone please tell me what times Class 450 trains will be running today from Waterloo to Reading and what times 450s will be running from Reading to Waterloo? Thanks
