Luckily I think the Llanwern station is only meant to be for the relief lines so won't need as much track or steelwork adjusting.

Oh I noticed earlier they didn't have the large beams (don't know the terminology) across to platform 3. They one have short arms coming off of 2 and 3.

Well it's Transport for Wales rather than the rail TOC. So it's the Welsh government being given it by the UK government. At that scale money is less important, it's probably being paid for in some form.

I think it's likely he was on about the Bristol parkway route, as he mentions that it was running on overhead the other way. Which would be quite a feat considering its not up west of Chippenham. :P

150257 iirc outside hasn't been repainted still has the worn down stripes. But the inside has the usb sockets, PRM toilet and from the difference in temperature with the one I'm on today I feel like it's had air con added aswell. I suspect that it will be that some 153s get modded and work...

I was on a train from Swindon to Cardiff earlier and it seemed to be running on electric to Bristol. Certainly from timings seemed that way, we got there 7 minutes before we were due to leave. Hope they address this in the timetables in May. Sounds like they plan to get a lot done over Easter...

Not my image but here's the damage. Looks like it could need a new window as well as the work on the underside, though it could just be the lighting instead of a burn mark. Wonder what they're gonna do about the livery as they're meant to be painting the rest, not vinyl wrapping.

Was wondering how long that would take will be nice to see some more in the new livery. I'm quite a fan of it. Minus the burn marks that is. That train delayed my journey by over 5 hours... I was on the North bound one that had to backtrack to Abergavenny.

175107 one of the two (afaik) rebranded Coradia's caught on fire this morning. So that might not be seen for a bit. Hope they refurb the inside while they fix it. Wishful thinking I know.
