Seems to still be having issues at nearly 2200 this evening. Anyone have any updates? Yet another day of big delays.

Assuming this timetable will mean only 2tph on Sundays for Acton Main Line, Hanwell and (potentially) West Ealing?

They definitely need to find a way to add more services on the Western branch. Very heavily loaded in the peaks with some stations only receiving 4tph.

Totally agree. 'Line' should be removed and it should read 'Elizabeth', 'Weaver', 'Lioness' etc etc. Consumers don't care. It's adding more words to maps than needed.

The updated tube map (whist hideously messy) will be better to help identify routes more quickly. I can't help but think the key needs some work, though. The use of a London Overground header, but not the same for the Underground is confusing, for example.

Do they need to include 'London Overground' in the announcements when you're actually onboard? Seems a bit OTT. Surely something along the lines of "This is a Mildmay line service to Richmond. The next station is Kew Gardens" should suffice

Severe delays this morning due to a track fault at Heathrow. What’s worse is that TfL note the delays are only between Hayes and Heathrow, with a good service on the rest of the line - which is a load of rubbish when you see the list of cancellations across the western section.

Looks like they’ve rolled out these screens to all of Tottenham Court Road. Not the prettiest in the world!

Don’t understand why they couldn’t run into Paddington, is that not the contingency in these situations? I was travelling from Heathrow, departed on time at 0806, ended up getting kicked off at Southall at about 9am. Still seeing cancellations now at 1300

Meltdown this morning too. Been stuck at Southall for around 30 minutes due to a broken down train in the core

Follow up question - is there a reason Slough is still managed GWR? I would assume that the majority of services are now TfL run?

Slough station is GWR managed and branded, as far as I am aware.

In my experience, people fare evade by pushing the wide gates open. I haven’t seen it on a normal gate, these are quite resistant to pushing apart. Is there not a way that these could be replaced with something more sturdy? They’re so flimsy at the moment and so easy to push through.

Agree, I also think that the line diagrams should show two different lines west of Paddington - one for the Reading service, and one for the Heathrow services.

After nearly 4 hours onboard, as soon as we saw some people being led along the tracks, everyone just opened the doors and jumped out.

As soon as they realised that trains wouldn't be moving for the foreseeable, the priority should have been to evacuate quickly and safely. If this was done within 1 hour, everyone would have been happy.

Especially at the locations we had stopped! We could have walked back to Paddington high level! And to add insult to injury, I have been charged by TfL for not tapping out :lol:
