Heritage railway electrification: Will it ever become a reality?

There is speculation/chatter/hearsay that IF the Bluebell Railway did complete the link from Horsted Keynes to Ardingly then on to Haywards Heath that possible Heritage electric 3rd rail emu's would run but I don't think there is a chance in hell that it would be a "Live" 3rd rail option...

Points failure between Barnham and Bognor (14/07/2023)

Points out of the siding at Bognor. The leaf needs welding means nothing can get out of the platforms. Will be fixed tonight possibly.

Trains stopping at far end of platform

I believe there are 2 reasons for this, firstly the service tootles off to New Yard and secondly I think there is a platform share for the Exmouth- Paignton service

Stansted Mountfitchet & Stansted Airport. Both the next stop after Bishops Stortford but on different services, Mountfitchet being the Cambridge train. Usually 2 minutes between the trains on the same platform. The little shop outside mountfitchet station had a direct taxi phone, to get people...

Bluebell Railway reports a loss of £220,000

IIRC the Sainsbury's at Haywards Heath, car park was conditional allowing the Bluebell to build a platform there if it was ever needed thats why the store is at the very south end. BBR would effectively take over the shunt loop

Bluebell Railway reports a loss of £220,000

On a positive note for the Bluebell https://www.theargus.co.uk/news/17805569.bluebell-railway-named-among-best-steam-railways-uk/ With regards to the OP I would think the link to Haywards heath would be very commercially worth while. for a small section of missing track there would be not 1 but...
