National Express West Midlands Bus Strike

I find the bus fares that NX West Midlands charge are very reasonable. I'm more than happy to pay them. The routes I use have a decent frequency, im happy with that. Its the anti social behaviour I have a problem with, and it is getting more and more. We have buses now with phone chargers, which...

National Express West Midlands Bus Strike

Yes, maybe that may be the answer.

National Express West Midlands Bus Strike

The last time I saw the revenue team, was when the Hagley Road buses were on diversion due to the Metro works in Broad Street, and the were getting on at the stop at the back of the library. Havent seen any since. Maybe they need more, to make the drivers life easier.

National Express West Midlands Bus Strike

We do need more inspectors on those buses. The behaviour of a minority is a disgrace. I'm absolutely fed up of listening to other people's loud music, and breathing in weed fumes. Then they introduce a congestion charge and tell people to start using public transport, with that sort of behaviour...

WMR Class 196 Build and Implementation

Yes, but it wouldn't be coming from the middle road into platform 1, through the crossover because 2 x 2 wouldn't fit the platform for passenger service.

National Express West Midlands Bus Strike

I was on the bus yesterday, and the driver was being asked questions about the dispute ftom some passengers and I must say, remained very professional, and answered everyone in a very courteous manner. Top marks to him.

National Express West Midlands Bus Strike

Your Reps should've made the position quite clear. They've not done their jobs properly.

National Express West Midlands Bus Strike

Did they not realise they were not allowed on company premises, or did it just not bother them? We have a note from Aslef reminding us about this on strike days. I'd have thought your union would've made that quite clear like ours do.

National Express West Midlands Bus Strike

Those are the bus routes I use too, apart from the 82, but I dont think there's a service on any of them after today.

There arent 3 car sets. They're either 4 car or 2 car ones.

    Illogical and haphazard stations

West Midlands uses both platforms at Worcester Foregate Street.

County Lines Drug Dealing and the Railway

I havent a problem with being stopped by a police office. Ive been stopped a few times when going home after a late shift, and as soon as they know I'm on my way home from work, theyre as good as gold. Its good to know they're out there. But once I was stopped by 2 officers, an older one and a...

Pictures of original interiors from before 2005

I never managed to go on an unrefurbished class 303, but the saloons look far more inviting than the refurbished ones, and the seats a lot more comfortable.

I've always wondered the same. Surely you'd not want to bring attention to yourself.

Stations that don't contain the name of a settlement, particularly termini

Spring Road. Not in Spring, but round the corner from Acocks Green bus garage.

    Birmingham New Street Gates

That was what was the old Bridge Bar. Situated on the dispersal bridge. It had some kind of refurb, and was called the Shakespeare. I never went in it, but it always seemed to be busy when I walked past.

    Birmingham New Street Gates

Yes !!! They're the ones. Thanks for that. None of us could remember the name. I knew i remembered the red and yellow signage. 1677545146 Yes, it was definitely before 1990. I think it was about then that WHSmith expanded into, or near that space.

    Birmingham New Street Gates

The Bridge Bar was on the dispersal bridge, but there was another one on the concourse. Sort of in the area that WHSmith went into when they enlarged their shop. A few of us at my depot sort of remember it, but none of us can remember what it was called. We think it may have had a red and yellow...

    Birmingham New Street Gates

You reckon people would know that 2a is on platform 2 etc. I can guarantee you that is not the case with many people. I work trains into New Street, so see it first hand.
