I was trying to remember if 507 021 was one of the two trains involved in the Kirkby crash that occurred this month in 2021. On checking Wikipedia it only mentions 507 006. I knew the crash was this month but what I had forgotten was the crash was 3 years ago today.

769 442 arrived at platform 3 at Southport today; just before 13:00. I believe it’s fairly uncommon for Northern trains to use platform 3. 769 448 was on platform 4.

I think it was still in service on its way to Southport. I cannot confirm if it was done last night, I just happen to overhear a conversation. It looks like BankHall was done last night, the train manager said it was not like it is yesterday.

Hourly service between Kirkby and Liverpool, 508141 is being used on the line. Kirkby to Liverpool XX:13 Liverpool to Kirkby XX:35 I believe a bus is also operating between Aintree, Fazakerley, Kirkby and Headbolt Lane.

777 152 was in passenger service today, I believe for the first time. The 16:05 to Headbolt Lane; from Central, was very busy; people standing from Moorfields, and when it left Kirkby it still had a good number of people on it.

if you go onto National Rail web site and search for Headbolt Lane it finds it, if you then click on “station map”, it shows you Kirkby station. I assume the site map will be updated...

I am slightly confused on what you mean. I have just gone into RTT.

I boarded the 09:13 at Kirkby and the screens were showing “Kirkby H’bolt Lane”. I also noticed it on the “777 0142” earlier in the week at Kirkdale depot. It looked like it was getting ready for a test run.
