Thanks for posting that excellent information Jamie, I'm sure that will help many present and future applicants.

100% IST (numerous times), if you're asking about about the TCB conversion course then I would bet someone has got 100% in that too.

Trivia: Stations forming a cross (with 4 passenger routes from the station)

Very interesting. This is what it looks like more recently with the popo driving through.. I'm guessing the third direction would have gone through the centre of (about 11:00 as we look) the google maps picture...

Trivia: Stations forming a cross (with 4 passenger routes from the station)

Thanks I'll add it to the list. 1684966263 This is interesting, didn't think about a limit of the distance between two stations but this opens the door to many examples. In my mind I was thinking of a station by itself that served the four directions (eg Tamworth) or a connected/next to...

Trivia: Stations forming a cross (with 4 passenger routes from the station)

This is correct ( and thanks for helping ). The mods altered my title which has not helped as people may skip the salient points of the first post. My original thought that there would easily be ten in England and Wales appears to be a bit of an overestimation even if non main lines are included.

Trivia: Stations forming a cross (with 4 passenger routes from the station)

If Tonbridge is included that would open up many more examples and it's not really a cross as such. I like the Filton diamond I guess it was modelled after the M4 M5 junction just North of it....

Trivia: Stations forming a cross (with 4 passenger routes from the station)

Nice out of the box thinking there! 1684919745 I wouldn't know it was inside/ouside until I looked, but good point!

Trivia: Stations forming a cross (with 4 passenger routes from the station)

Good answers thanks! I cant believe I forgot SG bridge. I'll have a look at Liv South and Willesden.

Trivia: Stations forming a cross (with 4 passenger routes from the station)

Can anyone think of other stations where the two routes form a cross shape and passengers can go all four ways from that station? for example Tamworth works but Lichfield TV doesn't (regular services don't go North East from Tv as far as I'm aware)/ Shotton and Worcester Parkway are another two...

Indeed, many boxes have a small library worth of books to read. I do find it strange why an e-reader is not allowed when books are.

Network Rail makes new offer to the RMT union

This sums up a change of attitude I've noticed too. Before Christmas the majority seemed to be willing to continue with strike action and feeling positive, now that has changed. I feel a vote on the current deal would be very close...

Is there someone here who works at Cardiff ROC who wouldn't mind DMing me, so I could ask a couple of questions please? Thanks in advance.

    A career as a signaller

I would have thought that multi-manned locations (ROCs etc.) would be as risky, with trainees sitting beside a signaller and close to many others. I wonder if Network Rail will postpone training in all locations?
