Anyone on the course starting next Monday 23rd September at Reading?

I’m starting at Reading. The details have been a bit vague so far. Waiting for the contract to arrive as HR said they’d put all the details in a letter that’ll come with it.

I really don’t know but they were in almost daily contact this week. The Docs slowed things up getting the letter written, but once that was sent it was all systems go!

Done all the assessments. Received my formal offer this morning. Start training next Monday

So. Eventually got my blood pressure under control with medication. Letter from Docs emailed yesterday and phone call and formal offer received this morning:-))) I’m on the course next Monday. I’m so happy!!!

Yeah, the lady doing it was really nice. I was tested pretty much first thing, and then again at the end.

I passed everything else, so they said the GP can just send them 3 good BP readings and it’s all good.

Had my medical for GWR today. Sadly failed on having high blood pressure. I’ve already been to see my GP and hopefully will get it sorted out, but to say I’m gutted is an understatement. They have said when I get it solved I can have the GP send them my BP readings and I’ll be good to go...

My parents visited Ground Zero, as it was then called, about a year after 911. Apparently, it was just a big, eerie hole in the ground. But even my dad said it was a very sobering place and he didn’t feel comfortable enough to take any photos.
