I imagine that this was the reason behind the Arterio branding. The door position marks would be labelled Arterio to show that they only applied to the 701s.

There are open-top double-deckers imported from the UK, including some Routemasters. The "Unregistered in Cyprus" album on Cyprus Buses & Coaches site includes used imports from the UK and Ireland. Northern Cyprus is or was home to plenty of old British coaches like this one.
