what type of traction is best

I love the smell of a steam engine! I find how they work so fascinating as well! However, I also quite like the smell of diesel!! When it comes to pretty, rural railways in the heart of the country, I would say anything but a steamer is out of place. However, you can't beat the...

    SouthEastern/Southern 375/377 front door

Hi! Just curious if anyone knows how the door at the front of the unit on 375/377 (Southeastern and Southern) works when connected to another unit and of the cab layout! I have been on 375's when two units are coupled together and you can walk through the units through the front doors, so you...

    Westinghouse Brakes?

Hi guys! Haven't posted on this forum in a long while, I'm sort of getting back into BVE! Are there any trains around that feature a Westinghouse braking system? I know that older London Underground trains (pre 1938 stock) only had a Westinghouse brake, and all stocks up to 1967 stock had...

    1973 Refurb for BVE4

I got it to do that!! I found a video on Youtube of someone on a Pic train, then recorded the announcement into Windows Sound Recorder and replaced the "klaxon0.wav" file with it! Now when I press the normal horn button it plays "This is a Piccadilly Line service..... to Cockfosters!" Very...

    1973 Stock Un-Refurbished

I think it would be unlikely that IL would want the 72's, because even the 72's are much more complicated trains to maintain than the 38's, and the IL don't have the skills nor the equipment necessary to maintain them. I sincerely hope that when the 38's 'give up' it won't be the end of the IL.

    1973 Stock Un-Refurbished

Well done on the 1973 unrefurb - looks great! I found that site http://www.underground-history.co.uk of great interest and to anyone who has an interest in the disused stations of the LU I highly recommend you pay a visit to this site - it's a very interesting read! Regards Tom

    "TOX" Tags

Hi! Everytime I go into London I can guarantee I'll bump into Tox! I've seen a couple of Tox07's as well as the older Tox06's. His tags can even be found on buses as well as on the tube trains and tracks. There's plenty of different tags in London but out of all of them Tox is certainly...

    Bus Driver Game

Hi! I downloaded the free demo of Bus Driver, liked it and then I bought it! It really isn't bad for £16 and it's the first game of its type that I've seen and liked. It's an excellent game - I just wish there were more Tiers! Tom

    Getting hold of Locomotion

    Locomotion Questions

yes it is! I haven't tried it with trams so i'll try that! Would you put the steel mill - factory branch on a completely seperate track to the line that delivers the coal and iron ore, or would you make it one continuous track? I've tried lots of things but I get my percentage up to about...

A little update from The Jubilee Line

It looks fantastic! Cannot wait! Sounds good starting at Swiss Cottage, the route will be quite a decent length. From what I remember Swiss Cottage and I think St John's Wood are the really, really old platforms, dating back to the 1900's because they used to be used when the Bakerloo...

    [Locomotion] Screen shots

I still want this game. I've been looking everywhere for it and couldn't find it. I then ordered it off HMV.co.uk but they never sent it, then I found it in Virgin in Bluewater but it was £20! Looks fab with all the BR trains on it!

The Jubilee Line train - 96TS

Looks great and sounds great! Love the motor sounds and the announcements! Can't wait for this one, however I appriciate how long it takes though. It's not until you start creating your own route/train that you realise how complicated and time consuming it really is! I've just started...

Second BVE 4 ATO routes released

I've just downloaded DownThemAll and Mozilla Firefox and they are very good! I hadn't heard of DownThemAll before, thanks! I searched for BVE4 ATO on Google and I think the first route for BVE4 that featured the ATO plugin was the japanese Keio Line by Mr Sakurai. However the download link is...
