Edinburgh Tour Operators: Bright Bus, Lothian (Majestic, Three Bridges) etc.

Or vehicles? Now the Edinburgh, Regal & Sightseeing tours are at pre-covid frequencies they may need all 30 open toppers to operate them, with no spares. This, alongside intended electric conversions. I have also heard that the 3 Bridges' Tour was a loss maker. If so, I wonder what Bright Bus...

Lothian Group discussion (Lothian City, Lothian Country Bus and East Coast Buses)

In fairness, me and @FlybeDash8Q400 do try to keep the fleet list as reliable as possible. It's these incorrect edits which ruin things, although in this instance the edit had already been rejected before the post was added.

No 7900s have been or are being put in training livery. On occasion these buses do go out in service on peak journeys or as extra in service trips.

Edinburgh & The Lothians Council Tender Services

This may not necessarily end up being the case should an operator bid for another tender then merge the routes. However, an hourly service between Queensferry & Gyle is to be expected no matter what.

Edinburgh & The Lothians Council Tender Services

The notice was added on April 3rd. The previous messages here were on March 7th. There was a similar discussion when similar occurred in West Lothian.

Edinburgh & The Lothians Council Tender Services

Do correct me if I am wrong, but as per the Contract Award Notice, the following operators bid for West Edinburgh tenders (these are not the winners):

There is one currently at Ferrymill Motors so it could happen.

Good luck getting a bus down Craigmillar Castle Road.

    Bright Bus Airport Express service

Passing the route daily, I am finding that the numbers are certainly growing. Most buses I pass now have good loads, however there is still reguarly quieter buses. Airlink is still doing well too.

Edinburgh Tour Operators: Bright Bus, Lothian (Majestic, Three Bridges) etc.

Out of interest, if this is true, which vehicles will be used? The previous vehicles are being returned to the Edinburgh Tour (232 is still away at the moment) and 905/6 are white. Edit: I realise now that you work for McGill's. Also, the 3 Bridges Tour did meet with the boats post-covid until...

Lothian Group discussion (Lothian City, Lothian Country Bus and East Coast Buses)

Buses break down everyday. Although I'm not keen of these buses, I don't see the significance in posting it. Bus 292 broke down today as well! They used these vehicles on training purposes for the last month before reinstating them so they have had a chance to run around again. 930 was having...

Just to correct myself here: The first X47 changes to the 47, the second X47 changes onto a 31. The 47 being replaced by the X47 runs light to Heriot-Watt Uni and runs as a 34 then X33. Allocations wise. 291-4 back on the 8/9 during the week, service 15 is using a mix of B9TLs and 600s, the 21...

Lothian Group discussion (Lothian City, Lothian Country Bus and East Coast Buses)

I wonder how many buses will be displaced when the BZLs arrive? It certainly won't be 50, as Lothian will surely use them to their advantage to reduce pressures and to increase services further, alongside cascades for Lothian Country? There are literally no reserve buses right now, assuming...

That's 42-45 now at Central and 639/40 at Longstone.

They've had the displays sorted, although I have no clue whether they've only programmed the University display given these are smaller than the normal ones. I believe the intention was always for these to be on the Uni shuttle only. They don't have ticket machines, and 906 doesn't have an AVL...

    Yep and as are 928 (currently a 9 then 17:00 X31) and 929 (27), albeit 928 isn't tracking at the moment.

Lothian Group discussion (Lothian City, Lothian Country Bus and East Coast Buses)

I was expecting this given the 44 is returning to full Longstone operation (minus some peak journeys). If 1152/3 are both returning that should be enough for the 35 PVR increase as well. I am hoping 926-930 will be sufficient at Central for 23, 27, 31 & X47. I would assume 42-45 will move to...

I wasn't sure about them at first but I do now think having them plain is a good idea. The new blue is a lot nicer. The tartan is okay but I don't see the point in it?

Hillend is still on the timetables even after the service change on Sunday. 1711119123 Vehicles 926 and 929 have moved to Central this morning. 932 is at Seafield now mostly untouched but has had it's advert frames removed.

Likewise! It was my first prediction for any route changes which of course didn't happen. I presume the 4 will return once the works there are complete. I believe the buses will go further and terminate at the new building.
