    Trains in Scotland

None whatsoever, Lenzie much closer so would always use that. I was more meaning as a one off to see the new station I could drive over and see it and then head onto town that day from there.

    Borders railway extension

Does anyone believe this is likely within the next decade or so? Melrose would only be an an additional 2 miles or so, with Hawick a further 15 miles so that certainly seems plausible. Possible improvements to the Highland Mainline and discussion of the A9 road

I’m very new here but have recently read about several viewpoints on possible upgrades to the West Highland Mainline from a freight perspective. It appears that around 80 miles between Perth and Inverness is still single track. Financially, twin tracking this distance would appear to be a non...

    Scottish Electrification updates & discussion

Just read a report that suggested that 25.3% of Scottish railtrack had been electrified. It did however date back to late 2014, prior to Edinburgh - Glasgow, Stirling/Alloa/Dunblane lines, and Shotts line between Holytown and Mid Calder. Does anyone have an up to date percentage on Scotland’s...
