As a matter of interest some of my 3,500 photo's on flickr happen to include derelict railway buildings with graffiti. For this reason I sometimes have grsffiti louts favourite them or add me as a contact. Invariably I respond by blocking them.

I think the graffiti will neatly sum up this country for tourists.

Just curious if anyone knows when the last oil tail lamp was used on British Rail? I think we stopped using them at Kings Cross in about 1986 but it must have been in the railway press when the last one went?

If the line hasn't been used for nearly 20 years I would think clearing leaves off the track is more of a publicity stunt than anything else. Tampers, Ballast Cleaners, new sleepers and S&T personnel would be more impressive.

I agree. I couldn't care less what the Royal Mail is doing in other countries. It is what is here that concerns me.
