    Gatwick Airport station upgrade

This was my understanding because delays at Gatwick could end up being transmitted across the Thameslink network.

    Cambridge platform changes

I guess part of the problem is Cambridge needing more through platforms than they have today and fewer bays. Not a problem that is easily resolved.

    Cambridge platform changes

Is there a particular cause for why trains get re-platformed between 1 and 7 or 8? It seems to happen more than occasionally and the volumes of people it involves is always significant. Is there anything that can be done proactively with platforming to reduce the risk? It happened this morning...

Greater Anglia Bombardier Aventras (Class 720): Technical discussion and introduction

I imagine the five car variants had started to be delivered by the time the decision was made to change the ten car variant.

    Easter 2024 Anglia

Thanks. Looks like south of Cambridge is open but north is closed.

    Easter 2024 Anglia

When will engineering works for Easter be available for the Greater Anglia routes? I'm looking to plan something and assuming that south of Cambridge is likely to be blocked so wondering if any options north will be closed.

Northern: DO NOT TRAVEL 24th & 31st December

I work in an entirely different industry but this approach seems familiar. Staff feeling they need to do something for their customers/clients because of a lack of resource. As someone in management I don't see why staff should be made to feel guilty for other people's failings.

New Brent Cross West (Thameslink) station

The Cambridge stopping service route has selective door opening as a number of stations have short platforms.

Cambridge Station Advertising Screen in the Middle of Platform 4

Brilliant that will make a last minute platform change from 1 to 7/8 or vice versa even more hard work.

Cambridge South new station construction progress.

I think one key to the Haverhill rail link is how well integrated Cambridge South is to the Cambridge bus network and especially to the various sites around Addenbrookes. A significant volume of people in Haverhill work on the Addenbrookes site and given the growth of it over the next few years...

    Thameslink Core pantograph strike

From what has been said I'm not even sure it needs to know the pans are down. It feels like the issue is that the rare times a train doesn't have to stop is what causes the issue. Just being forced to stop is likely to eliminate the issue almost entirely.

    SouthEastern Railway Ticket Office Closures

I'm not convinced and we know the government want to reduce the cost of the railways. I'm sure the savings will be on the government side not the farepayer.

Southern, Thameslink & Great Northern 'Not On Strike' Details

Would the issue be that Ely wouldn't have the capacity to turn the extra train?

Cambridge South new station construction progress.

Does Cambridge North cost anymore or is it likely that the three stations will be considered a group with the same pricing?

Abellio Greater Anglia Class 755s (Regional Trains)

It feels like the Ely junction is quite a stranglehold to a large part of the east. It's a shame it just doesn't get recognised as important enough to be progressed without further delay.

Cambridge South new station construction progress.

If there is will it be occupied? Only the Costa at Cambridge North has being taken. The convenience store is still vacant though I think the wider area if coming along and that might go into a unit opposite the station and hotel.

    Are Stadler products overrated?

Every time I've used the 755's they've been a really pleasant rise. As said they've transformative against what we had before and the level boarding is helpful to so many people whether those in wheelchairs or with other mobility issues, those with pushchairs and of course those with bikes. It...

Elizabeth Line's Class 345 Pride Wrap

Isn't this more inclusive than just using the flag. It is about inclusion of everyone including race, ethnicity and disability.

    Elizabeth Line break of journey

Yes the NRCoT. I don't think there was any dispute that they applied to my travel it was a lack of familiarity with the break of travel rule.

    Elizabeth Line break of journey

I've put a complaint in to TfL asking them to ensure their staff are properly trained. I don't expect anything will change but will see. It's a journey I may well do again as I have family who live along the line and the journey using Thameslink and Elizabeth Line is quite easy minus the stress...
