    That’s 2414 with the yellow stripes added that’s on the driver training runs now. 2408 has been in Eastleigh works for a couple of weeks now and still has no yellow stripes.

    Yes, Alliance had their sights set on the final six units that were in service with GTR, but SWR quickly (and understandably) snapped those up and some of them have been used for the majority of driver training to date

    Southern 27-way is not the same as Blue star 27-way, so it’s definitely only 33/1s and 73s that can work with them

    The 6 units for December will be refurbished internally and externally. There’s only 3 left of the SWR fleet (2402, 2406 and 2410) in Gatwick livery

    Very true. I suspect the Alliance Rail proposal is dead in the water unless they find some suitable off lease DMUs
