I was good to see the new arrangements yesterday and congratulations are due to everyone involved in handing back the station on schedule.

A disappointing development. My wife and I travelled on it last year in connection with the Douro historical steam train and enjoyed it immensely. I wonder whether Portugal realised its overall value to tourism?

May I suggest that this thread be split into actual physical works being undertaken and a separate thread for all the background information?
