    Chesham Underground permanent closure?

Pretty sure back in the 80s when the bridges needed to be replaced an option considered was to cut the line back and end it with a new station in the Waterside area of Chesham. So they wanted to keep the branch open.

ITSO Bus Pass and East Yorkshire Buses

I have a mystery I wonder if anyone can assist with. My wife and I borh have ITSO type bus passes issued by Leeds council. We have them as we are registered blind. Within West Yorkshire they allow us to take a companion on the bus with us. I believe the graphic top right on the picture of my...

    Alexa Problem

I had an echo dot become unresponsive the other year. It was in my conservatory and got too hot. Putting it in the shade solved the problem. Maybe yours are getting too warm or there is not enough air flow around them?

    Leeds Station Improvement

I have a WYMetro ITSO pass which allows free rail travel in the WYMetro area (am registered blind). It’s so annoying that the barriers don’t recognise my pass. I have to then hunt down a member of staff to let me through. They can be hard to find for the visually impaired as they are in blue and...

    Bridlington rationalisation and re-signalling

Platform 5 is used for Scarborough bound trains sometimes. I have caught a Scarborough train from it and my train from Beverley to Scarborough went through platform 5 last week. But it can be confusing at Bridlington to know which platform to go to

    Leeds Station Improvement

As a blind person, I always found it easier to book a taxi from outside the Queens Hotel, usually not as many taxis there to try and find my one. With all these changes, can you still get a taxi from outside the Queens?

What has happened to the Transpennine Express services from Scarborough?

I much prefer a reliable shuttle to York than an unreliable through service. I often travel to and from Leeds. If I can get to York I can get to Leeds. If a through train is cancelled I have an hours wait

    WYMetro Pass on Grand Central

    Thanks for the information

    WYMetro Pass on Grand Central

I have not been able to find the answer to this. Can a WYMetro blind / companion pass be used on Grand Central trains within the West Yorkshire area? The pass allows free travel on rail services in the area but as Grand Central is an open access operator I don’t know if they have to also allow...

The switch to Masons gin is fine, but the bottles seem impossible to open! Even the staff struggle

    Scarborough York Line: possible developments

A Northern service would be welcome. Perhaps the York Bridlington service could be made into a circular route - York / Bridlington / Scarborough/ York.

    Scarborough York Line: possible developments

I am a user of the line from Scarborough to York and would be interested in knowing more about it and any developments going forward. I have read it’s history & note in the past how much bigger Scarborough station was and the other routes that joined the line and how it has declined with the...

    Transdev Blazefield

With the unreliable rail service from York to Scarborough which seems to have gone on for ages, perhaps there is an opportunity to provide some decent competition by offering a reliable and faster 843 service. Cutting out stops in York and Scarborough would speed up the journey. If a fast route...

    Transpennine woes and a moan...

Rather annoyed that a through train to Scarborough has been cancelled.I was going to pick it up at Leeds. I had planned my day around the time of the train. Faced with a long wait at York I was surprised to hear a replacement bus has been laid on from York to Scarborough to make up for the...

    Transpennine woes and a moan...

Looking at the TPE web pages they are already showing around 70 cancellations for Monday. As someone who can't drive and has to rely on public transport, this is a nuisance. The unreliability of the service is disappointing to say the least. We refer to TPE in our household as Trans Pennine...

    Transpennine woes and a moan...

It's annoying to see TPE adverts on TV and YouTube saying how great they are, when in reality it's a poor service. Living in Scarborough, it's very frustrating at times to have such a poor service. There have been a couple of local news stories about the poor TPE (& Northern) service, but...

    ByTrain Replacement

That's annoying. At least they have warned us rather than just stopping as some apps have. Any alternative suggestions would be welcome.

    UK departure Boards Desktop Departures,

I bought one of the early ones and everyone who sees it likes it, even if they have no interest in trains. Owing to my own fault, I managed to break my board twice, but the support and help I got from the supplier in getting it fixed was excellent. They are expensive and I personally don't pay...
