After posting my message he finally heard yesterday and has been offered a position at a smaller box grade 2 I believe.
Fingers crossed you will hear soon
Just enquiring for my father-in-law...but has anyone heard about the Cambridge position?
He attended an assessment day and had an interview straight after and they said they would let him no in a week but it's been coming up 3 weeks now . Thanks
Hi everyone I've been on this forum a while just never posted.. ..completed signalling school mid Feb time....regards to hotels in York I was placed in the park inn which was handy as only 5mins walk to training centre
I don't know what the location is but at a guess you would be looking at a basic take home of around £1400 - £1450 per 4 weeks on grade1 money after regular NR pension with no overtime or enhancements. No London or south east allowance, and without knowing your personal situation regarding tax...
2018 pay is nonsense at the moment as the 2018 pay rise is based on RPI November 2017 which has not even been published by the office of national statistics yet!
Is the 'lower grade for 1 year' applicable to someone who signed contract after 1st July, started with company after 1st July, started training after 1st July or what? what about someone who is already a NR employee?
I am not so sure. The open door on the location cabinet and the issue at Watford yesterday, yes (after I had written my comment!), but generally no. Points Bourne End... ibj and rail defects.. all existing stuff.
