The Class 40 hauled Whistling Highlander from Crewe to Inverness on 24th Feb. Does this train formation from Realtime Trains represent a class 40, the Intercity Mk3 set and trailing loco? Or is a shorter / alternative coaching set being used? Looking forward to a great trip this weekend.

Hornby GWR HST with one carriage, an oval of track with a siding is available on Amazon for £126. Seems incredible value. Is tbe train of a reasonable quality? Would it be compatible with coaches to make an 8 car intercity set, or indeed a 4 car castle of today? Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
