Confused by restrictions - Stevenage to Edinburgh

They haven't issued this specific advance via Wakefield and XC though?

Confused by restrictions - Stevenage to Edinburgh

The 928 from Stevenage is listed as cancelled everywhere? 1706041324 Ok so it says 'cancelled' but I can now see it's the Peterborough leg cancelled. 1706041385 Sorry I'm obviously getting really confused here!

928 Stevenage to Edinburgh - advance - Stevenage to York York to Edinburgh (11:56 at York) None look like they are going via York tomorrow

Confused by restrictions - Stevenage to Edinburgh

If restrictions are lifted for Weds - I can travel on any service despite my advance ticket? I was hoping to do 815 Stevenage to Peterborough, then 918 Peterborough to Edinburgh

Confused by restrictions - Stevenage to Edinburgh

Need to travel tomorrow but can see LNER have lifted restrictions and say that customers should travel earlier where possible. My advance single is restricted 'Peterboro and Lner'. Can I change trains at Wakefield Westgate and go on a CrossCountry train - or do Stevenage to Peterborough on the...

LNER to pilot removal of Off-Peak tickets

Moral argument: is the state duty-bound to provide accessible public transport? I would argue yes. I thought we were all supposed to be ditching our cars? I can think of lots of scenarios in which not booking 12 weeks in advance is normal. Visiting friends who don't know their plans the far in...

LNER to pilot removal of Off-Peak tickets

So this is another change, then. As currently, you can buy a ticket and not actually reserve a seat.

LNER to pilot removal of Off-Peak tickets

Explain why you can't get one of the tickets even if you're willing to stand? I didn't think reservations were actually compulsory?

LNER to pilot removal of Off-Peak tickets

I'm afraid Lumo shows me the cheapest fares. Not this site. I don't understand the inconsistency - I thought, LNER's pilot aside, all the tickets were the same in the background, essentially? Sorry, don't want to screenshot my journey, happy to PM details.

LNER to pilot removal of Off-Peak tickets

Will be travelling easyJet or Lumo then!
  14. S

LNER to pilot removal of Off-Peak tickets

Nope. It's next week. There's definitely a glitch as Lumo shows me advance singles and super off peak singles. All for £50-70.

LNER to pilot removal of Off-Peak tickets

Well there seems to be a glitch. I've input my originating station (a Thameslink north one) and my destination as Edinburgh and all that is coming up is Anytimes. So I can't buy fixed or off peak or anything anymore?

LNER to pilot removal of Off-Peak tickets

Two flights for my preferred dates are about £60 total. So both ways. This is madness. How can this be allowed? How can they just hike the prices up like this?
  17. S

LNER to pilot removal of Off-Peak tickets

Advance singles don't appear to exist anymore? This is pricing me off this journey.
  18. S

LNER to pilot removal of Off-Peak tickets

My mistake - that previous price was for an 'advance single'. But I'm sure I booked it pretty soon before I travelled?

LNER to pilot removal of Off-Peak tickets

So a midweek, what should be 'off peak' journey is showing at £133 for a single. Wtf? That's a huge increase.

LNER to pilot removal of Off-Peak tickets

So, can someone do a price comparison? I'm sure last year a 'walk up' super off peak or off peak (can't remember which) was ~£62 with my railcard (Thameslink station to Edinburgh via King's Cross). I was relying on this again for a future journey coming soon - as I'm not yet sure which service I...
