  1. Dreadnought

    Class 458/5

456, 465 and 466 units have always carried the full 6 digit number from introduction way back at the start of the 1990s, so the 'tradition' has been changing for a while.
  2. Dreadnought

    stored 90s returning to service?

90016 is owned by Porterbrook and is leased by Freightliner. I thought that EWS swapped 90050 with 90016 as compensation as it was deemed that it was a maintenance issue that caused the fire.
  3. Dreadnought

    221108 different

From what I can remember 104, 108, 109, 112 & 115 have all been completed whilst 102 has the new valances at one end only!
  4. Dreadnought

    Another class 70 fire

I doubt it was 70001 as that was parked in Ipswich stabling point yesterday afternoon when I was there. Just checked to confirm and I have seen TOPS lists today that say it is still there.
  5. Dreadnought

    Units unique within their class

170309 is the only 170 where the coach numbers don't match the unit number after it was renumbered from 170399.

    Livery lists for LM,XC,EM,NX

OK, makes sense now, I hadn't realised it had been involved another accident.
  7. Dreadnought

    Livery lists for LM,XC,EM,NX

156499 returned in Barbie livery after repairs as I saw at Queen Street when in Scotland for the Bo'ness Diesel gala last July.
  8. Dreadnought

    Livery lists for LM,XC,EM,NX

Thanks, blue certainly seemed very prominent when travelling through Glasgow as well.
  9. Dreadnought

    Livery lists for LM,XC,EM,NX

I was on the Compass Oban trip yesterday and saw 156492 now painted into the Blue ScotRail livery. Is this the 1st ex First one to be done?
  10. Dreadnought

    Class 377/6 - more info

This didn't run tonight in the end.
  11. Dreadnought

    92s on WCML

325s are in daily use between Willesden PDRC - Warrington RMT - Shieldmuir on mail trains. They have even started running them on the ECML as well recently.
  12. Dreadnought

    Class 57s being modified

IIRC that was the point of getting the 57s though, to clear the line much quicker than using a loco fitted with an 'emergency' coupler. Also, if NR have run tests last year with 57s hauling tightlock and dellner fitted units that would suggest the mods are ready for use. If they are not...
  13. Dreadnought

    Class 57s being modified

Yet when a cable fault knocked the power out near Canterbury stranding a unit a 66 was called to rescue, although it wasn't eventually used, rather than one of these fancy 57s NR have got! Might also help if the 57s weren't all parked up at Eastleigh
  14. Dreadnought

London Midland liveried units at Longsight.

According to posts on wnxx it was 2 x 323 units using the wheel lathe that is also based on that side by the old Eurostar shed. Paul
  15. Dreadnought

    Euro Cargo 9720

I think they are 'out of gauge' for the roads as well as the ones I have seen are without bogies and pans when on the low loaders.
  16. Dreadnought

    Pendolino Broken Windows

I was on a 350 unit from Rugby to Watford yesterday and through both Linslade and Northchurch tunnels there was what I presumed to be ice "bouncing" off the train, and I saw another 350 at Watford with yellow tape over a broken window.
  17. Dreadnought

    virgin class 57's

57308 was in the south end bay at Rugby today minus Virgin logos and nameplates.
  18. Dreadnought

DRS 47501 - Not Dead Yet?

Was lucky enough to see 47501 working in multi with 37059 in August 2008 on a stoneblower move. Never remember reading reports of a 47 / 37 or 20 in multi before or after either so not sure how many times DRS actually did this.
  19. Dreadnought

    Colwich Crash

The Memorial garden is well looked after as I noted when passing on Thursday.
  20. Dreadnought

Eurostar 373s at Temple Mills Depot

Should that be 3101/3102, the Belgian set? I remember seeing those stored at Temple Mills in the past and thought that 3301/3302 were currently on hire to SNCF and being used in France.
