If a station no longer serves any useful purpose, then there's no point in retaining it. This seems to be one of those instances where the original function fo the station seems to have been lost. I gather that it was once an are that had some industry, which has all now disappeared.

As is the case with other reopening proposals. Times have changed, and what looked to be a basket case in the 1960's o 1980's period might not be considered quite so hopeless now.

There's no chance of the track being reinstated. What exactly would be the point? A minature, tourist railway might have more chance, but I wouldn't put money up in the hope of making a decent return!

I think that extra short workings at the southern and northenr ends would be far more beneficial than additional through services. I wouldn't close the door completely on adding one or two mor eend to end services, but the priority has to be Llandeilo to Swansea and Knighton to Shrewsbury...
